The City of Asheboro performs voluntary monitoring and is continuing to work with Industries to maintain and improve progress.
Some of these activities include:
- Collecting Weekly WWTP Effluent grab samples
- Collecting and retaining WWTP Effluent weekly composite samples
- Collecting monthly grab samples within our collection system.
- Collecting monthly upstream and downstream grab samples
- Reviewing SIU (Significant Industrial User) permits and other available pretreatment mechanisms necessary to reduce discharges.
- Working and communicating closely with SIU dischargers on their potential to impact the WWTP effluent discharge
