The Human Resources Department supports the City and its employees through essential services including OSHA compliance, employee safety and wellness, workers’ compensation, insurance, personnel administration, and employee relations. Training
When officers enter the Field Training Program, they will receive sixteen (16) weeks of training throughout the entire agency. This training will develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to fulfill the agency's mission and purpose. The Asheboro Police Department seeks to invest in employees through professional development. This investment includes specialized and advanced training in all areas of law enforcement and sets a path for a successful career of service to our community.
Qualifications
- Graduation from High School or GED
- Basic Law Enforcement Certified (BLET)
- Must be 21 years old and have a valid North Carolina Driver’s license
- Live within 30 minutes of the police department
- Must be an American Citizen
- Not convicted of a Felony or serious misdemeanor
- Veterans must have a DD-214 Honorable Discharge
