Located approximately 45 minutes from Asheboro, Piedmont Triad International Airport offers commercial passenger service to destinations throughout the United States and beyond.

Bus, Van, & On-Demand Transportation

Greyhound provides intercity bus service, with stations in Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem.

The Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART) provides regional bus transportation and vanpool services throughout the Piedmont Triad. PART's Route 10 provides express service between Asheboro and Greensboro.
The Regional Coordinated Area Transportation System offers scheduled transportation for the elderly, persons with disabilities, and the general public across Randolph County.

Go Randolph is a same-day, on-demand rideshare service operated by RCATS and available in Asheboro. Service operates Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Rides can be booked through the mobile app, website or by phone. All Go Randolph vehicles are accessible.


Highways

Asheboro is conveniently located at the intersection of major regional highways, providing easy access to communities throughout central North Carolina.

Interstate 73/74 runs through Asheboro and provides north-south connections to Greensboro, Winston-Salem and Charlotte.

U.S. 64 provides an east-west connection through Asheboro and links the city with communities across central North Carolina.

U.S. 220 provides another important north-south route through the Asheboro area, connecting the community with Greensboro and destinations to the south.

Rail

Passenger rail service is available approximately 30 miles north of Asheboro at the Greensboro Amtrak station.

Amtrak's Piedmont and Carolinian services connect Greensboro with communities including High Point, Salisbury, Kannapolis, Durham, Cary and Raleigh, with connections to destinations beyond North Carolina.
